The three days Tactical Trauma Life Support (TTLS) is a highly intensive course that is developed to help combat medics deal with trauma in a tactical setting. TTLS course provides a tactical pre-hospital trauma care philosophy, stressing the need to treat the multi system trauma patient as a unique entity with specific needs. This may require an approach to the trauma patient that varies from traditional treatment modalities. The difference between TTLS and other pre-hospital trauma courses is the that the course is backed by evidence based medicine and continual research and development. The course is held 1 day at the office for theory & practical skills, then 2 days of casualty simulation training at the guns@work shooting range in Germiston
